We were there last yr on July. Stayed at Canberra, drove to Cooma & Jindabyne. Hire gears here in Jindabyne. We went to Perisher Valley, bigger than Thredbo.. you need a pass for national park visit.

i will add again. You can drive down to Eden, jhandai baneko capital of Australia, Eden to Narooma, Bega, Hourse Head, drive down all the way to Batemans Bay…you will love the drive
